Being a skeptic of many things, infomercials and their cheesy, gimmicky sales pitches, rank pretty high up on my list of things that I usually don't buy into to. However, one product that despite being an "infomercial product" is truly amazing, and that would be the Ninja Master Prep. It makes preparing all sorts of dishes, a breeze and has really increased my motivation to get into the kitchen.
Now I have to admit it wasn't the Ninja Master Prep's commercial that sold me, in fact not only had I never seen the commercial I had never even heard of the Ninja Master Prep. If it wasn't for my friend I probably would have never ended up owning this kitchen wonder appliance. It just so happened that I was in the market for a food processor and was discussing it with my friend, she told me about her new favorite kitchen appliance, the Ninja Master Prep was absolutely amazing. She was so enthused about it telling me that it did everything that it was advertised to do, that it really crushed ice into snow and she just went on and on. I figured if an avid cook like herself was this excited about the product, I might as well spend the fifty bucks and give it a try and boy and I glad that I did.
Kitchenaid Hand Mixer
I have used it for so many different things from smoothies, chopping up vegetables for a salad and pizza toppings, hummus, chicken salad, mincing garlic, and have even used it as a mixer to make baked goods. I really think the Ninja Master Prep's secret lies in its double blade technology. Each container for the Ninja comes with its own set of double blades that stack on top of each other and because of this it is able to chop, mince, shred, and puree food evenly. If you have ever dealt with a food processor you have probably experienced the hassle of what you were chopping coming out at different consistencies. Whether I'm crushing ice for margarita's, making smoothies, or mincing onions and garlic, every time I use the Ninja I am left with a nice, even consistency, making my life easy!
Another feature of the Ninja that is great is its "one touch" pulse technology. It has a little pod that sits on top of any of the Ninja attachments (it is interchangeable with all of the containers that come with the Ninja) and this is how you can control the speed of the blades. The pod or if you have seen the Ninja before, it's the blue piece that sits on top, is where the motor is. Simply pulse it a few times for a thicker consistency, for example it you are chopping almonds, just by pressing the pod a few times will get you nicely chopped almonds that are great to add to any baking dish. On the other hand, by pressing and holding down on the pod you will get a creamier or more liquid consistency. So staying with the same example of almonds, instead of pulsing it a few times, if you hold it down for a longer period of time you'll be on your way towards making almond butter. This pod is fantastic and makes all the difference by literally putting the control in your fingertips.
The Ninja Master Prep is not only fantastic at chopping, mincing, pureeing, crushing ice and a more, but the clean up is a snap! As I mentioned before the motor sits on top and easily lifts off. Once you take off the motor you are left with the lid, container, and blades of the attachment that you're using and all three pieces easily come apart. They are all dishwasher safe, however, I have hand washed mine in the sink very easily.
So if you are in the market for a blender, food processor, or even a margarita maker I would highly recommend giving the Ninja Master Prep a try. I use mine several times a week and I don't have any complaints. It has really changed how I prepare food and saved me a lot of time in the kitchen.
